Certain User policies are enabled that can only run during logon. (Y/N) Microsoft Disk Quota Failed (no data) 6/16/2015 PM Microsoft Disk Quota failed due to the error listed below. Different policies have different restrictions i.e. A folder redirection will only be processed when the user's Shell folders are in the default local state %userprofile%\ Documents Desktop Appdata Start Menu Favorites (windows 7 and up) If you previously redirected Documents to \server1\userfolders\%useuments The policy will not be processed until the prior folder redirection is reversed.
Certain Computer policies are enabled that can only run during startup. GPO reversal: 1) Make sure the Folder Redirection GPO Is set to copy the data back when the user falls out of the GPO or the GPO is revoked.
Ref prior note: 2 logins usually will deal with the copy back to reverse the folder redirect and then 2 logins to apply the new folder redirection. The system will wait for Group Policy processing to finish completely before the next startup or logon for this user, and this may result in slow startup and boot performance. For more detailed information, review the event log or run GPRESULT /H GPReport html from the command line to access information about Group Policy results. Review the Policy Events tab in the console or the application event log for events between 6/16/2015 PM and 6/16/2015 PM. I have Server 2008 R2 and just one 2012 R2 that's a DC. Any diagnostic tools to help trace the cause of the issue? WMI based filtered GPOs can not be forcefully updated as the local client is not able to query WMI to get access. If the folders are already redirected the GPO is either already applied or if you change the destination, the GPO will not apply. The following warnings were encountered during user policy processing: The Group Policy Client Side Extension Folder Redirection was unable to apply one or more settings because the changes must be processed before system startup or user logon.
